M.Tech. (Electronics And Communication Engineering)


M.Tech (Electronics & Communication Engineering) program in Electronics and Communication is a two years regular program to teach the students upcoming new subjects which include the study of the Design, Research, and Analysis.

The students get an exposure to industries and research labs so that they are well prepared to work as technologists and research engineers. After completing their M.Tech, the students are able to lead the industry as well as the research work in the field of Electronics and Communication.

Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)


2 Years



A Candidate must hold Bachelor’s degree of four-year duration in the relevant discipline as mentioned above with 50% (47.50% in the case of SC/ST candidates) marks in aggregate along with valid GATE score or equivalent grade from a recognized University or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto by Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak or as may be amended by the competent authority.

1st Preference in the order:
B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Electronics & Telecom Engineering/Electronics Engineering with 50% marks in aggregate along with valid GATE score.

2nd Preference in the order:
B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering/ Electronics Instrumentation & Control Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation & Control Engineering / Instrumentation Engineering / Control Engineering with 50% marks in aggregate along with valid GATE score.

3rd Preference in the order:
a) M.Sc. (Electronics) with 50% marks in aggregate.
b) M.Sc. (Physics with specialization in Electronics) with 50% marks in aggregate with valid GATE score in Electronics & Comm. Engineering/ Electronics Engineering.

*As may be amended by the competent Authority.


Admission to the courses will be made as per the direction issued by the competent authority at the time of admission.

  • 1st Installment= Rs.45,000/-
  • 2nd Installment= Rs.40,000/-
  • 3rd Installment= Rs.30,000/-
  • 4th Installment= Rs.20,000/-

The Electronics and Communication Engineering department has plenty of labs for practical sessions of students. The laboratories are fully equipped with all the components and equipment’s to perform all the experiments and to design new circuits.

1. Satellite Lab

The main objective of this lab is to make the students well versed with different aspects of satellite systems; transmitting & receiving signals from one Earth station to other Earth station and study of Black/White & Colour television.

2. Advanced Microprocessor & Microcontroller Lab

The purpose of this lab to make student well aware of assembly language programming; wherein student learns to interface hardware with software to solve real-time industrial problems. Real-time products are the output of this lab.

3. VLSI Lab

This lab prepares the student to design the layout of various digital circuits using CMOS/ NMOS inverters. It also makes the student capable of writing Verilog code with the knowledge of Test Bench.

4. Optical Communication Lab

This lab is used to perform practical pertaining to the study of Optical detectors and transmitters. It also provides the student with an experience in various fiber optics and digital communication techniques like modulation and demodulation of the light source.

Post graduates of ECE are motivated to pursue their career in R&D sector of the private and public organizations. They also take the opportunity to work as lecturers in the engineering colleges with some of them joining the Ph.D. course to accentuate their teaching skills.

Public Sectors:

Students also join government organizations like Electronics Corporation of India, Power Grid, BEL, BHEL, DRDO, ISRO, SAIL, IES, UPSC, IOCL and State Public Service Commissions and Government Educational Institutions.

Private Sectors:

The students after getting M.Tech degree in ECE are also able to join companies and organizations in private sectors like Samsung, LG, Panasonic, ST micro- electronics, Cadence, TCS, Reliance, Infosys etc.
